Education Program
C4 offers unique opportunities for schools and community groups to engage in hands-on conservation efforts and environmental education.
Through guided workshops, tree planting, and cassowary awareness programs, participants gain knowledge about local ecosystems and contribute to vital conservation actions. Our past programs have included cassowary habitat restoration projects and interactive education sessions that foster a deeper connection with nature.
We welcome schools and community groups to reach out for tailored opportunities that inspire action and make a lasting impact on the environment.
Partnerships
C4 has a strong history of forging successful partnerships in conservation efforts across the Cassowary Coast. From collaborating with Queensland Trust For Nature to purchase key properties like Gurrbum (Emerald Dove) to hosting events such as World Cassowary Day, our partnerships have helped protect cassowary habitat and raise vital awareness.
We welcome businesses, NGOs, and government agencies to partner with us on land conservation, community education, and restoration projects. Join us in protecting the endangered southern cassowary and preserving Mission Beach’s unique ecosystems.
Theatrette Bookings
The Community Theatrette at the C4 Environment Centre in Mission Beach offers a welcoming space for educational talks, film screenings, and community events. Available for public use, the theatrette provides an ideal venue for local groups and organisations.
Cassowary sightings
Have you seen a cassowary? We’re asking locals and visitors to help us protect these iconic birds by reporting cassowary sightings in the area.
