C4 is proud to support the new Wet Tropics World Heritage Guides program — an initiative by the Wet Tropics Management Authority that celebrates and strengthens the way people connect with our remarkable rainforest region.
The program is designed to give anyone who interacts with visitors — from local guides and accommodation hosts to volunteers and educators — a deeper understanding of what makes the Wet Tropics so extraordinary. Through free online modules and professional development opportunities, participants can learn about the region’s natural and cultural heritage, the importance of its World Heritage status, and the living connection of Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples to Country.
Choose your level of connection
The program offers three pathways for involvement:
Guardians are those who interact with visitors day to day, from café staff to volunteers, and want to share simple, accurate messages about the Wet Tropics.
Defenders go a step further, deepening their understanding of the region’s ecology, culture, and conservation stories.
Champions are the storytellers and tour leaders who inspire others through guided experiences and community outreach.
