We’re excited to share that President, Peter Rowles, has been appointed to the Wet Tropics Restoration Alliance Steering Group (ASG) for the 2025–2027 term.
The ASG plays a vital role in guiding the direction of the Alliance. Its members provide strategic advice, support the delivery of an annual workplan, and ensure the perspectives of communities, science, First Nations knowledge, natural capital, and sustainable land management are reflected in restoration efforts across the Wet Tropics.
Peter joins a diverse and experienced group of leaders from conservation organisations, research, and community sectors:

- Mr Branden Barber (Rainforest Rescue)
- Mr Barnaby Swan (ClimateForce)
- Mr Dennis Ah-kee (Jaragun Ecoservices)

- Dr Ana Palma (Independent)
Together, they will contribute to workshops, field days, and working groups, and act as champions for restoration in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
For more than 30 years, C4 has worked to protect cassowary habitat and rainforest ecosystems in the Wet Tropics region. We look forward to providing regular updates on the Alliance’ goals and progress.
