The Rainforest School in Frogs Hollow came alive last Friday with the energy and enthusiasm of students, parents, volunteers, and community members who came together for a community tree-planting day.
The year 10 students from Carey Baptist Grammar School joined students and parents of The Rainforest School to plant 269 plants (in record time), transforming the site with their teamwork. After the planting was complete, the morning rounded off with games on the oval, giving the students a chance to celebrate their efforts and enjoy the outdoors.
This planting marks an important step in establishing The Rainforest School’s new home at Frogs Hollow. The initiative was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Lions Club of Mission Beach, whose support helped bring the project to life.
C4 volunteers were also on hand, lending their experience and encouragement to ensure the day’s success. Their contribution highlights the strength of community spirit and the shared commitment to protecting and restoring our local rainforest habitat.
