We’re excited to share that we were awarded a Ventia Community Grant this year; support that has already made a practical difference on the ground and will help power a huge planting season in 2026.
Thanks to Ventia’s generosity, we have been able to purchase two new plant trolleys for the C4 Native Plant Nursery. These trolleys are already proving invaluable for our volunteers, making it much easier to move plants around the nursery and safely load them for transport to revegetation sites across the Cassowary Coast.
The grant has also helped us equip our volunteers with essential planting gear, including gardening gloves, mattocks for weed removal, and shovels for digging.
With this new equipment in place, we are looking ahead to a busy and exciting planting season in 2026, as we continue our work restoring cassowary habitat and strengthening ecological corridors throughout the region.
