C4 is heading into a big year of on-ground conservation and land management across the Cassowary Coast, with a range of projects planned throughout 2026. From revegetating key wildlife corridors to weed control and site preparation across private land and protected areas, there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in meaningful, hands-on work that supports our local environment.
We are building a reliable pool of contract workers to support this work as projects arise. These opportunities are well suited to labourers, backpackers, and anyone who enjoys physical outdoor work in tropical conditions. Tasks may include planting, weed management, transport, maintenance and basic environmental monitoring.
All workers will be provided with appropriate training and safety briefings before commencing work. A reasonable level of fitness and availability during business hours is required, as work can involve walking over uneven terrain and exposure to sun, heat and rain.

If you’re not looking for paid work but still want to be involved, volunteering is another great way to contribute. Volunteers can join community planting days and other hands-on activities throughout the year.
