At our Annual General Meeting on 28th September 2025, held at the C4 Theatrette on Djiru Country, members gathered to reflect on a busy year of conservation projects and to elect the new Management Committee.
We kicked off World Cassowary Day with a workshop on common backyard weeds that are escaping into our local rainforest. Thanks to Tony O’Malley (Terrain NRM) and Damon Sydes (CCRC) for leading the session with Peter Rowles (C4).

A highlight of this year’s AGM was awarding Life Membership to Bob Jones in recognition of his long-standing dedication and service to C4.
The incoming committee will guide our work on cassowary habitat protection, community engagement, weed management, and education programs, building on the strong foundations laid over the past 30 years.
